There is still time to make changes to listings in the Directory. With the Directory printed on a biennial basis, it’s more important than ever to make sure listings are as accurate and up-to-date as possible.
A PDF edition of the EMDA Directory has been available on the Association’s Web Site (www.EMDA.net/directory) since April of 2006. And, every other year a bound book is printed and mailed to all members. Inevitably, as soon as the print edition is mailed, the EMDA Staff receives a number of phone calls with more corrections. Those updates are immediately posted on the PDF edition, but obviously, they can’t be included in the print edition for two years.
Each distributor and rep member receives a full page listing in the Directory that includes: contact information; key personnel; a brief biographical profile; territory covered; and product types distributed. Each profile also indicates distribution functions are performed by each firm: Sales; Warehousing; Credit & Collections; Warranty Representation; Assembly and Manufacturing.
The Directory also includes territory and product indexes that make it easier for manufacturers to find specific EMDA members.
Associate member listings include contact information and company/product descriptions. Associate members also have the option to expand their listings for a nominal fee by adding either a logo or a half- or full-page ad.
Once the print edition is ready for distribution, all EMDA members will receive two copies of the Directory free of charge. If additional copies are needed, just contact the office. One complimentary copy of the Membership Directory will also be sent to manufacturer members of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA) and the Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada (AMC) members, as well as to numerous trade consulates throughout the world.
Even if you’ve returned your update form, please take five minutes to look at your Directory listing and make sure it includes an accurate profile of your firm. Let the EMDA Staff know of any changes, and they’ll immediately be updated on the web site and included in the upcoming print edition.
Once known as the “indispensible link” between wholesalers and manufacturers, the latest edition of the EMDA Membership Directory, will continue to be the best tool available to help shortline manufacturers and other agencies locate reps and distributors of ag equipment and related products. ###
