The Geringhoff Corporation headquartered in Ahlen Germany has acquired its North American distribution partner Geringhoff Distribution LLC of St Cloud, Minnesota previously owned by the Jandrisch family.
Joseph Jandrisch’s distribution company Aemsco began marketing and supporting the Geringhoff product in 2004 and since then the products have grown from obscure European imports to one of the largest shortline brands in North America. As distribution sales soared past $100 million several years ago, the partners recognized the need to create a separate entity specific to the brand. In a spirit of cooperation between distributor and manufacturer, Jandrisch created Geringhoff Distribution in 2012 and transferred the Geringhoff activities from Aemsco to his new Geringhoff branded distribution company. Simultaneously, a manufacturing facility was created in Minnesota to partially supply the North American market.
Now with this 2015 transaction, the ownership of Geringhoff’s extensive North American based operations are sold from Jandrisch to Geringhoff of Ahlen Germany. Jandrisch has accepted a position on Geringhoff’ International’s Board of Directors and will lead a search for a new North American CEO. Jandrisch has previously served on the boards of FEMA (as its first Marketing section representative from 2000 to 2004) and on EMDA from 2004 through 2010, serving as its first President after the merger of FEWA and AIMRA in 2009.
The parties are proud to report a smooth transaction with significant benefit to both partners, their employees, dealers and farming partners.
