The ITA East Coast trade mission offers a very unique opportunity for local industry players to meet dynamic international companies without having to leave their home state and the costs associated in doing so. The Trade Mission is directly supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and FEDERUNACOMA -the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation. Italy sees the U.S. East Coast as a prime area to develop new inroads to develop a strong, sustainable, line of trade.
The trade mission is going to be the right occasion for the Italian Trade Agency to introduce the new incentive pilot program created to support an incentive business between Italy and the US.
The pilot program has the objective of encouraging expansion of the portfolio of Italian brands offered by US importers, distributors, and dealers. The ITA plans to work closely with these commercial figures, providing them with a series of support measures, assistance, and information on the Italian AgTech Industry, further promoting new brands for the American market.
The US Market is one of the most important markets for the Italian agricultural machinery sector. In the last 3 years, on average, Italy has exported between 450 and 500 million dollars’ worth of equipment.
Italian equipment manufacturers, on average, can be considered as small-medium enterprises, especially if compared with the US market. This means that most of the Italian companies don’t have the financial capability and the right structure to access and thrive in the North America market on their own.
The US market is moving more and more towards specialty crops that can guarantee greater revenue and bigger profit margins to farmers and investors. This is the case for crops like grapes (wine production), Olives (olive oil production), fruits, vegetables etc. All these specialty crops require the right specialized equipment from preparing the soil all the way to harvesting the crops. The Italian agricultural machinery industry can provide innovative equipment for all segments of production. The ITA’s intervention in this program is devoted to reducing the financial exposure and risks involved in adding a new brand. At the same time, the Italian Trade Agency aims to support the importers in finding the right brands for their market, operating as a “gatekeeper” for the level of maturity or preparedness of the prospective Italian partner.
More details regarding this program will be provided during the Roadshow. To RSVP for one of these appointments, please visit: https://www.itahouston.com/agtech22
