In an effort to get news to EMDA members on a much more timely basis, I’m in the process of moving stories from the 1st Quarter Newsletter onto the News section of the Association’s Web Site. You can now search the Web Site and find links to previous stories.

I’m also testing out having MailChimp automatically send a synopsis of news to all members on a weekly basis. I first used MailChimp to send the 1st Quarter Newsletter as an attachment. Then used it in conjunction with SurveyMonkey to send critique and meeting handouts to the Spring Management Workshop attendees. Pretty cool, especially for a free service. For now, I haven’t started the weekly email yet – only sending it to myself until I can tell if it’s going to work.
Fingers crossed – if this works, news should get to members much more often than the semi-monthly or even quarterly time frame I’ve used for the past years. Don’t worry, if there is no news, there shouldn’t be an email arriving.
