The Roundhouse is a bronze age concept in livestock housing which, in 2006, was reinvigorated by Roundhouse Building Solutions Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Simpson & Allinson Ltd.) Based in Barnard Castle in the North of England, this patented and multi-award winning building is now commonplace across the UK and quickly progressing across mainland Europe.
As a part of our ongoing development and due to demand from inquiries from farmers in the U.S. we have taken the decision to investigate the U.S. market. How we target the market and with what distribution partners is the purpose of my visit to the EMDA Fall Convention in Las Vegas and I’d very much like to meet with you if you are interested in knowing what we are doing.
We manufacture three diameters of building 72ft, 98ft and 148ft and work with regional animal
handling fitting manufacturers and distributors to make and supply this internal equipment. The big selling points of the building are safe and easy animal handling and for the livestock an airy and stress free environment. The results in animal performance and operator ease are massive and we are already seeing return purchases.
Roundhouse buildings are currently being used for beef, dairy, swine, deer, sheep, goats and also as visitor attractions. We do believe that there is a good equine market that we haven’t tapped into and also a purely animal handling market which will create a shaded area for working livestock.
I will be exhibiting in the EMDA Industry Showcase in Las Vegas and would be very pleased to talk to any reps or distributors who are interested in the Roundhouse as well as any manufacturers who maybe interested in working with us to target the North American market.
