EMDA Board Nominee Spotlight: Chance Massey, Owner of Lone Star Sales and Marketing

Born and raised in Sulphur Springs, Texas, in 1987, Chance Massey has built a career rooted in hard work, relationship building, and a deep commitment to the agricultural equipment sales and marketing industry.

A graduate of Howard Payne University, Chance balanced academics with athletics, playing four years of collegiate baseball while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management.

Following college, Chance began his career as a territory manager for Artsway Manufacturing. In 2011, he transitioned into working as an independent representative for M&W Enterprises and Cooper Sales. In 2014, Chance purchased the businesses of Walter McIntyre and George Cooper, officially stepping into ownership and renaming the company Lone Star Sales and Marketing. That same year, Chance joined EMDA, becoming an active member of the organization.

Over the past decade, Chance has been instrumental in pioneering equipment into new territories, with a current focus on serving the Coastal Bend region this month.

Chance married his wife, Baylee, in 2010. Also from Sulphur Springs, Baylee spent much of her childhood in eastern Iowa before returning to Texas at age 12. Together, they are raising two sons: Rolando (21) and Roman (17).

Outside of work, Chance enjoys ranching cattle, with a strong focus on genetic progeny. He also loves hosting friends and family for home-cooked meals and spending time on the golf course with his son, Roman.
