EMDA Board Nominee Spotlight: Shannon McComas

EMDA is proud to recognize Shannon McComas, Chief Operating Officer of Loftness Specialized Equipment, as the nominee for the Associate Member Delegate position on the EMDA Board of Directors. Members will have the opportunity to vote on Shannon's nomination during the EMDA Fall Convention, October 27–29, in New Orleans.

As COO of Loftness Specialized Equipment, Shannon plays a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of the employee-owned company while driving strategic growth initiatives and advancing its commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This year marks a significant milestone for Loftness as the company celebrates 70 years of manufacturing innovative agricultural and vegetation management equipment.

Shannon brings a wealth of leadership experience to the nomination. Throughout his career, he has successfully led organizations across multiple industries, holding positions including Project Manager at Adesta LLC, President & General Manager of Keystone Construction, General Manager & Director of Operations at Empire Construction and Trenching, President & General Manager of Jimmy's Plumbing Inc., and Director of Sales & Operations for QC Supply. His diverse background in operations, business development, and sales leadership provides a well-rounded perspective that would be a tremendous asset to EMDA's Board of Directors.

Beyond his professional career, Shannon is deeply engaged in the agricultural equipment industry. In addition to EMDA, he is an active participant in several leading industry organizations, including the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association (FEMA), the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), and the North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA). His commitment to collaboration and industry advancement reflects the values that make EMDA a strong and thriving association.

When he's not leading operations at Loftness, Shannon enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters in Omaha, Nebraska. Whether he's relaxing on the lake or enjoying a round of golf, he values the relationships and community that extend beyond the workplace.

EMDA is grateful for Shannon's willingness to serve and his continued investment in the future of our association. We encourage members to take the opportunity to meet Shannon during the Fall Convention and learn more about his vision for EMDA.

Board elections will take place during the EMDA Annual Business Meeting at the Fall Convention in New Orleans. We look forward to seeing you there!
