The Board of Directors of EMDA, the Equipment Marketing & Distribution Association, is pleased to announce the recipient of the Association’s 2021 Scholarship Program! The EMDA Scholarship Program was established in 2019 to support EMDA’s member companies and their employees and dependents pursuing a career for the betterment of themselves and their employer. The Scholarship program was available to all EMDA member company owners, staff, employees, and dependents pursuing their goal toward a Degree, License, or Certificate. One scholarships was available this year.
A Scholarship Committee carefully reviewed submitted applications, along with the supporting information provided, and concluded that the applications submitted by Emma Kimball most closely met the scholarship criteria. Emma will receive a $3,000 award to be used for her studies during the 2021-2022 school year.
Emma is the daughter of Marcus & Jennifer Kimball, and granddaughter of Pete Kimball, President and Founder (respectively) of Kimball Sales Company, Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Kimball Sales as been an AIMRA/now EMDA member since 1973. Emma will be a freshman at Auburn University working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Design and Product Management with an emphasis in Foreign Studies.
As the 2021 EMDA Scholarship Recipient, Emma is responsible to offer a report about herself, her studies and the role she hopes to play in the industry.

Are you an EMDA member principal, an employee of a member, or a dependent of a member or member’s employee?
Are you, or will you be, enrolling in a higher education curriculum or certification program, which is approved by the EMDA member principal as training applicable to the distributor’s/rep’s needs?
If you answer “yes” to both questions above, then you qualify to apply for an EMDA scholarship. Information and application for 2022 will be announced later this year.
