As many EMDA members have learned during the past several months, Patricia A. Collins, our Executive Vice President, informed our leadership of her plans to retire, after 38 years with the Association.
Over the course of the last year, the EMDA Board has conducted a nationwide search to fill this position, and is pleased to announce Celeste Lindsey has accepted the offer to become EMDA’s new Executive Director.
We are thrilled to have Celeste join our team at EMDA. Several talented individuals were interviewed, but Celeste’s impressive background, outgoing personality, and vision to help lead EMDA into the future put her at the top of our list. We are excited for the rest of our members to get the chance to meet her at the convention this fall.
“Hi! My name is Celeste Lindsey. I am a wife to Daniel and a proud mother of two beautiful girls. I am a fitness advocate who loves the Lord and loves to build relationships.
“I began my career as an educator in 2007 with a degree from Georgia Permiter. After more than 12 years, I was given an opportunity to use my skills as a Recruiter for a mid-sized construction company in 2018. During my recruiting career, I have recruited and built relationships with over 1000 candidates and onboarding over 400 employees. My skillset involves communication, organization, and dedication. I also enjoy growing and developing social media content leading to significant increases in online presence and reach. In my free time, I enjoy planning parties and events as well as teaching fitness classes. My motto is “to Motivate, Encourage and Inspire others.”
“As I look to the future with EMDA, I hope to bring joy and energy to the association and help lead it to record growth in its membership base and overall reputation. It makes me happy knowing that I will get the opportunity to inspire others to join and engage with EMDA everywhere I go!
Celeste began the new position on July 24 and will be working with Pat through the year on the transition. Pat will continue in her role as Executive Vice President through this year, and will complete her service to the Association in January, 2024.
