The second round of Convention registration forms and Appointment Books were mailed last Thursday, August 2. Registration for the upcoming EMDA Fall Convention in Minneapolis was opened on July 25 when registration material was emailed to all members. While the Appointment Book is also available as a downloadable Word document, as well as iCal files for importing into phones, the print edition continues to be a popular, and useful, tool for keeping track of convention schedules – no WiFi or Cell connection needed!
As of about an hour ago, 35% of booths at EMDA’s Industry Showcase are sold — well ahead of the pace of the last couple of years.
Registration on the Fall Convention side is a little slower, but we’re still expecting to see about 75% of distributor and rep members attending, and about 30% of the associate members should be in attendance too. Once members receive the printed Appointment Books, Convention registration pace should pick up. As always, attendee lists will be posted to the EMDA Web Site, and will be updated as soon as registrations are received.
Members know, no matter where the convention is held, it’s a prime contact event for distributors and reps. Beginning with the Joint Opening Session on Wednesday morning and ending with Roundtable Discussions on Friday morning, EMDA reps and distributors will fill their convention times with member-to-member contact; manufacturer and supplier interviews; and informative and entertaining convention programs.
Meeting and networking opportunities are the main reason attendees and exhibitors participate in the Fall Convention and EMDA strives to provide the most effective structured means to enable such interaction.
